Goju Karate students have been formally invited to compete at the International Turkish Open Grand Prix in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Turkish Open, an annual tournament sanctioned by the World Karate Federation (WKF), will be held on September 27 through the 29th. It will feature numerous events including individual men and women’s kata and kumite, as well as team kata and team kumite.
Goju Karate Students Invited to Compete
The Turkish Karate Federation issued a formal invitation for Goju Karate students to compete, and has offered to assist with travel arrangements, including securing visas for students and their friends or family traveling to Istanbul with them.
“As a USOC National Karate Federation dojo, Goju Karate encourages and supports international competition and exchange among karateka throughout the world,” noted Sensei.
Individual and team prizes will be awarded, totally more than 50,000 Euros combined to first place winners. Most of the competition will be televised on various media channels, and the finals will also be broadcast internationally via several sports networks.
