Happy 2025! Classes Resume Monday, January 6th

As the New Year begins, classes resume on Monday, January 6th, 2025, with many exciting events and surprises planned for an amazing year to come.

Happy New Year!

2025 promises to be an exciting year for the dojo as we continue expanding our programs, classes, and dojo community.

The new year will bring more classes in different divisions, a new slate of seminars and events, the next edition of the NYC Karatedō International Tameshiwari Tournament – and for the first time, tournament events for kids and adults in kata, kumite, and karatedō.

One of our key goals is to continue building on the success of GOJUKARATE.COM – 2022 was a transformational year for the dojo in terms of our ability to have a platform capable of reaching students globally. In subsequent years, we built on that platform and the dojo now has a world-class global presence in the martial arts community.

We have so much more planned for 2025!

The new 2025 calendar will appear soon (you'll be able to get it here first, and at the dojo front desk shortly afterwards) – but for now there are two events to remember:

Regular Class Schedule (both at the NYC Dojo and Livestream) begins on Monday, January 6th. As always, visit the Class Schedule for real-time always-updated information on what classes are offered on any particular day)

Kagami Biraki will be held at 10:30AM ET (dojo opens at 10AM ET) on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Read more about Kagami Biraki here. Read the specific announcement for the 2025 edition here.

The dojo, Sensei, all blackbelts, and all the karateka that work so hard to support our community wish you and your family a 2025 filled with success and accomplishment!
