The dojo is excited to celebrate the Christmas and New Year's Holidays as 2023 draws to a close and we prepare for an amazing 2024.
What an amazing year 2023 has been!
This was the year that the dojo finally took the big leap and moved to its new facility at 767 Lexington Avenue. Thanks to the hard work and support of our wonderful dojo community, the move was made with minimal disruption to our schedule.
This year also saw a wide range of events, seminars, and rank tests, and the introduction of new livestream classes and the debut of our Mentor program.
The dojo website, GOJUKARATE.COM, which had a major upgrade in 2022, produced a torrent of new content and features throughout all of 2023. Almost a hundred articles on karatedō concepts alone have been published!
And most importantly, our students literally circle the globe in classes held on the dojo floor and via livestream worldwide.
This year has brought our dojo so much to celebrate.
As 2023 winds-down, Sensei, all the instructors and assistants, the front desk staff, and all Goju blackbelts wish you and your family the most magical of holidays and the hope for an even more successful 2024.
This year, the Dojo, including the NYC Dojo and the Honbu Dojo, will be closed from Monday, December 18th, 2023, to Saturday, January 6th, 2024. No classes, including livestream classes, will be held on those days.
Regular class schedules will resume on Monday, January 8th, 2024.

Please spend this holiday time with your family and close friends – it will be time well-spent and you'll return to your karatedo training refreshed and ready for the start of the new year!
